DNA Method For Pearl Identification and GIA Pearl Research Update

The DNA method is becoming a powerful tool to identify pearl oyster species. Recent DNA research on akoya pearls and pearl oysters will be reviewed and discussed. GIA Pearl identification and classification services will also be introduced and explained.
