Through a unique combination of hands-on multimedia instruction and one-on-one coaching, the GIA Diamond Grading Lab class explores how to grade diamonds consistently and accurately using GIA's International Diamond Grading Systems™, a modern gemological microscope and a loupe.

What You'll Learn

Diamonds
  • Explore time-saving techniques to determine a variety of grading factors
  • Understand how to read a GIA Diamond Grading Report
  • Have the unique opportunity to spend more than 16 hours practising grading techniques on diamonds that were carefully selected and graded by GIA
  • The course concludes with a two-stone practical exam
  • Course materials include a lab manual, pointer probe, gem cloth, plotting pen set, table gauge, crown angle card and colour grading card

Cost: £1,250 (includes tuition, books and materials)
This class will be taught in English by a GIA instructor from our London campus.
